Privacy Policy

Detailing Done Rite is a small family business in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. We follow Canada's federal privacy law, PIPEDA. Here it is in plain language.

What we collect

• Your name, phone number, email and how you'd like us to contact you
• Your vehicle's year, make, model, colour and condition
• Photos of your vehicle, if you choose to upload them, and any notes you add
• Your booking details and the final price charged

We don't collect payment card details, since payment is by cash or e-transfer at pickup. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. A sign-in cookie is used only for the owners' admin page. To block spam, we keep a scrambled version of your device's internet address for up to a day.

Why we collect it

Only to handle your booking: to confirm your appointment, plan the work, give you an accurate price, send your confirmation and reminder, and keep basic business records. We don't sell your information or send you marketing unless you ask us to.

Who else handles it

We use a few trusted service providers to run this site: Supabase (database and photo storage), Resend (email), and our website host (Vercel or Cloudflare). They may store and process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws. We share information with them only so they can provide these services.

How long we keep it

• Vehicle photos you upload: deleted automatically 90 days after your appointment
• Requests that were declined or cancelled: deleted automatically after 1 year
• Completed bookings: kept for up to 6 years for business and tax records, then deleted

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time by contacting bookings@detailingdonerite.com. We'll respond within 30 days. If we have to keep something for tax reasons, we'll tell you. If you're not satisfied, you can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
